Biography
Born and raised in the northern part of the Netherlands (Friesland) Carmen Lisa began her career by playing at clubs and underground parties in 2018. Swiftly ascending, she co-founded RIOT. The collective stands for widening the perspectives by pushing female talent to enrich the electronic music scene. Despite the pandemic's grip, she remained determined by organizing radio takeovers and joining the Unmute Us demonstration with the collective.
As her career took off, she played at the Rave the Planet Parade in Berlin for almost half a million people. Mead this, her impeccable performances and authentic sound caught the attention GEM records bookingsagency, which she joined as one of their first female artists.
As her reputation burgeoned, she graced the stages at esteemed festivals, such as Loveland, Awakenings and Tomorrowland. Beyond borders, she embarked on a tour in Mexico and, alongside her co-members from RIOT, embarked on a journey through China.
Carmen Lisa's rise to acknowledgement is a testament to her perseverance. With her infectious energy, she is determined to make her mark on the scene. Techno with a soul is the ideal representation of the music Carmen Lisa performs. Her unavoidable, uplifting yet atmospheric sound revives femininity into the techno sound.
